I. Principle of Philanthropic Independence
Philanthropic independence requires that any charitable giving remain structurally, decisionally, and economically independent from:
professional service relationships;
commercial transactions;
compensation receipt, allocation, or distribution; and
client engagement or collaboration structures.
Charitable giving must not constitute, and must not be characterized as:
transactional consideration;
compensation substitution;
referral compensation; or
any form of financial inducement.
Charitable giving must exist as an independent philanthropic activity, separate from any commercial structure.
II. Principle of Structural Separation
GovernanceBridge operates under a clear principle of structural separation:
the Platform provides governance support and structural coordination only;
licensed professional institutions and professionals independently provide regulated professional services and independently make professional determinations; and
charitable giving exists as an independent philanthropic activity.
These activities remain independent in legal structure, contractual relationships, and economic arrangements:
the Platform does not participate in professional compensation allocation and does not derive economic benefit from professional compensation;
charitable giving by independent professionals or Family Legacy Coaches must not be structurally linked to specific compensation arrangements.
III. Independent Nature of Charitable Giving
Charitable giving is an independent disposition of lawfully owned property by the donor. The decision to give—timing, amount, recipient, and purpose—must be made independently by the donor. GovernanceBridge does not require, direct, control, or arrange charitable giving by independent professionals or Family Legacy Coaches.
Charitable giving must not be used as a condition for:
obtaining clients;
maintaining client relationships; or
receiving professional compensation.
IV. Governance Objectives
This Policy is maintained to ensure that:
the Platform’s governance role is not interpreted as transactional intermediation or compensation participation;
the Platform’s collaboration structure does not constitute referral compensation arrangements;
philanthropic activities do not affect the independence of professional services; and
the Platform remains transparent and structurally interpretable across jurisdictions.
This Policy applies to the Platform, Family Legacy Coaches, and independent professionals participating in the Platform’s collaboration environment.
V. Institutional Purpose
The institutional purpose of this Policy is to ensure that:
charitable giving remains an independent philanthropic activity;
clear boundaries are maintained between governance support and compensation structures;
the Platform does not participate in professional compensation structures; and
the Platform’s collaboration model remains structurally independent and regulatorily interpretable.
